The Gospel of Christ

I’ve noticed more and more that there are a great number of people spreading a false gospel. There are people who call themselves “reverends” that write about seemingly good things but leave out Christ. How can there be any gospel without Jesus Christ? There cannot be (John 14:6).

It is true that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2). It is true that He died for the ungodly (Romans 5:6). It is true that God’s salvation is a free gift (Romans 3:24). It is also true that when he saves a person who comes to Him that He also gives them a new heart (John 3). He changes us from rebels to His children. He changes us from within (Ezekiel 36:26,27).

It seems absurd to me to try and deal with the symptoms of sin and not deal with the source of sin. It’s as if some try to put the cart before the horse or altogether ignore the horse. A person needs to know that sin is a heart problem before they can get help.

to be continued…

As we go through life, it’s inevitable that we will experience tragic and difficult times. Every person who has walked the face of the earth has experienced some form of heart ache. In my own life i recently experienced the passing of my mother. Even though she had been sick for along time, i feel shocked. Now i know how it feels to lose someone you love.

My mom was a great mother. She always let me know how much she loved me. She was a very tender hearted person. The last few years of her life was filled with suffering. She never felt sorry for herself or complained. I wish i could be like her. At her funeral i met someone that she had encouraged. They were so amazed at her tenderness. I felt so proud, at that moment to have had such a caring person as my mom.

She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
